Lanka IOC reduces fuel prices

The Lanka Indian Oil Corporation has also reduced its prices in line with the revisions of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.

A litre of 95 Octane fuel and a litre of Super Diesel have been reduced by Rs.2.

Accordingly, a litre of 95 Octane will now be available at Rs.164 while a litre of Super Diesel will be sold at Rs.132.

The price of a litre of 92 Octane and Auto Diesel however will remain unchanged.

Meanwhile, the revised fuel prices announced yesterday are currently in effect.

The Ministry of Finance yesterday announced that a litre of 92 Octane will be reduced by Rs.1, while a litre of 95 Octane and Super Diesel will be reduced by Rs.2 as of today.

The price of a litre of Auto Diesel however will remain unchanged.

A litre of 92 Octane will accordingly be sold at Rs.137, a litre of 95 Octane at Rs.161, a litre of Super Diesel at Rs.132 and a litre of Auto Diesel remains unchanged at Rs.104.

The fuel pricing formula which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers comes into effect on the 10th of every month.

The Finance Ministry appointed Fuel Price Committee convened today to review domestic fuel prices, based on the Cabinet-approved monthly fuel pricing formula.
