Lotus Tower to be opened on Monday

The Lotus Tower, South Asia’s tallest tower measuring 350 metres, will be declared open by President Maithripala Sirisena on Monday at 5pm.
The public will be able to visit the tower by purchasing a ticket.
The lotus-shaped tower will be used for communication, observation and other leisure facilities, with construction costing $104.3 million, funded by EXIM Bank of China.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved to set-up a state body in order to manage administration activities of the tower.
