The JVP charges that efforts are underway by the Mahinda Rajapaksa led group to spread racism across the country through false information pertaining to the process of forming a new Constitution.
Leader of the JVP Anura Kumara Dissanayake speaking in Parliament said false rumours are being circulated that the country will be divided by April.
The Parliamentarian noted at a time that the country is left destitute, failed coups and an unstable group led by Mahinda Rajapaksa is attempting to once again spread racism.
MP Dissanayake stressed the group is executing their political agenda based on racism.
The JVP leader claimed the party has wholeheartedly contributed towards the compilation and proposal of a new Constitution adding even though the government is keen on passing a new Constitution the committee of experts has failed to arrive at a final stance even after the Steering Committee has convened 83 times.
The Parliamentarian said three years have passed since the 9th of January 2016 claiming however the committee has failed to compile a draft bill for the Constitution.
