United National Party Parliamentarian Wijepala Hettiarachchi has charged former President Mahinda Rajapaksa of once again attempting to create a nepotistic rule in the country.
Speaking at a media briefing held in Galle today the MP said the former President’s remarks in an interview with The Hindu were a clear revelation of his motives.
He said they danced quite the dance claiming they would bring massive crowds to Colombo on the 5th of September adding we said such action was only held with the intent of making his own son king.
The MP noted now this has been proven, further remarking his motives have been revealed in the interview he had with The Hindu.
The MP charged since his son Namal is not old enough as yet, until he is old enough he is instead preparing to make way for one of his brothers to be presidential candidate.
Hettiarachchi stressed can only the Rajapaksa clan be presidents in this country, adding he did the same in the Sri Lanka Freedom Party before, now he is preparing for a repeat with the Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna.
