The National Building Research Organisation says a further time frame will be required in order to complete the final report pertaining to the reasons behind the collapse of the five-storey building in Buwelikada, Kandy.

Director General Asiri Karunawardene speaking to NewsRadio said the compilation of the report is in the final stages adding that upon completion the report will be handed over to the Governor of the Central Province.

The final report was due to be handed over to Governor Lalith U Gamage yesterday.

The five-storey building collapsed at dawn on the 20th of September claiming the lives of a one-and-a-half-month-old infant and her parents.
