NCM against Bathiudeen handed over to Speaker

The Joint Opposition group has handed over a No Confidence Motion against Minister Rishad Bathiudeen, to Speaker of House Karu Jayasuriya.
Speaking to NewsRadio Parliamentarian Udaya Gammanpila said the Motion was signed by 66 MPs.
MP Gammanpila also said the faction requested Speaker Jayasuriya to take the No Confidence Motion up for debate in parliament in the near future, by considering a national requirement.
Meanwhile the Sri Lanka Freedom Party says it is yet to reach at a final decision pertaining to the Motion tabled against Minister Bathiudeen.
Speaking during a media briefing held in Colombo United Peoples Freedom Alliance Parliamentarian Duminda Dissanayake said members of the Joint Opposition are at odds pertaining to support for the No Confidence Motion.
The MP stressed therefore lengthy discussions will be held among party members to arrive at a final decision.
