United National Party Parliamentarian Harshana Rajakaruna has charged a new government has been formed together with the President with the intention of concealing cases filed against theft and corruption during the previous tenure by abolishing the special High Court.
Speaking to NewsRadio MP Rajakaruna said the such intent was confirmed through a statement that was made by Susil Premajayanth yesterday claiming the UPFA has directed its attention towards dissolving the special High Court at bar.
MP Rajakaruna noted the faction led by the President have carried out an undemocratic and unconstitutional procedure to appoint a new Prime Minister and a Cabinet of Ministers.
The Parliamentarian stressed the faction assume that if the special High Court is dissolved the hearing of cases against them will be forgotten.
He claimed Parliament has permitted the functioning of three Judiciary systems adding if such proposal is tabled in Parliament the UNP will take steps against it.
