President Gotabaya Rajapaksa says certain groups are attempting to create baseless conflicts pertaining to Port activities.

Speaking at a rally in Badulla, the Head of State said he is not afraid of attempts to instil fear in him.

President Rajapaksa said conspirators and extremist groups have over the years attempted to disrupt the journey of a leader who puts the country first when elected into office.

The President meanwhile pledged that he will not waver from efforts to eradicate poverty.

President Rajapaksa also highlighted that the ‘Vistas of Prosperity and Splendour’ national policy framework will be implemented as promised after the General Election while vowing to fulfil the 150,000 jobs programme for low income generating persons and graduates.
