OMP interim report handed over to MS & PM

The interim report compiled by the Office on Missing Persons has been handed over to President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Chairman of OMP, President’s Counsel Saliya Pieris said the interim report was handed over to the President and the Prime Minister during an event in Parliament today.
The Commission was mandated to compile a comprehensive report on missing persons.
Accordingly, President’s Counsel Saliya Pieris said the interim report contains recommendations for interim relief as well as securing truth, justice and memorialisation.
