The Opposition has urged the government to reveal to the public its vaccination programme to prevent COVID-19.
Speaking during a media briefing in Colombo today, Parliamentarian Kavinda Jayawardena said the government must ensure it will sanction and administer only suitable and acceptable vaccines in order to avoid any unnecessary complications.
He said the government should revel as to whether it will import a vaccine approved by the World Health Organisation such as Oxford-Astrazeneca, Pfizer or the Moderna vaccines.
MP Jayawardena noted that since it is a time-consuming process, the government should have an acceptable agenda.
