Pakistan PM Imran Khan arrives in Sri Lanka

Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan arrived in Sri Lanka this evening on a two-day state visit.

The Pakistan Premier arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport on board a Pakistan Air Force flight around 4.10pm.

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Minister of Justice Ali Sabry and several Ministers and other dignitaries were present to welcome the Pakistan Premier at the airport.

The Premier was accorded a military salute.

The official discussion between the two Prime Ministers will get underway at Temple Trees at 6pm while the duo will preside over an event to sign several mutually beneficial bilateral Memoranda of Understanding following official talks.

A joint press conference will be held at 6.30pm.

The visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Imran will meet President Gotabaya Rajapaksa tomorrow morning.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will also hold several other high-level engagements tomorrow, including a Business and Investment Forum, as well as a sports diplomacy initiative.
