Two remanded for pelting stones at Sajith’s rally

Two persons who were arrested for allegedly pelting stones at a rally attended by Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa have been remanded until the 7th of October.

The duo, aged 21 and 40, was remanded by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate.

They were arrested this morning by officers of the Mount Lavinia Police station.

The two individuals had informed court that they did not have any political motive behind the incident.

The Mount Lavinia Police is investigating the incident.
