The trial period of the traffic lane regulations and the priority bus lane project will end today.
The Police informed three-wheelers and motorcycles to use the priority bus lanes assigned along several roads in Colombo today.
The Police said a decision will be reached after today on continuing the project.
The traffic lane regulations and the priority bus lane project was trialled from Monday between 6am and 10am along Galle road, High Level road, Baseline road and along the Sri Jayewardenepura road.

SSP Hapugoda said all other vehicles will be required to use outer lanes.
SSP Hapugoda added that Police will take strict action against motorists who violate the traffic lane regulations following the trial period.
