Private bus owners and NTC to hold talks

A special discussion is scheduled to take place today between representatives of the Executive Committee of the Lanka Private Bus Owners Association Trade Union Collective and officials of the National Transport Commission, pertaining to a potential revision of Bus fares, in line with the recent reduction in fuel prices.
Chief Secretary of the Trade Union collective Anjana Priyanjith said the meeting will get underway at 10am.
He noted the two sides will discuss the feasibility of reducing Bus fares accordingly during the meeting, adding if a fare concession is possible, then steps will be taken for the sake of commuters and the general public.
