The opposition says the general public is dismayed by the actions of the present administration.

Speaking during a media briefing in Colombo today, Parliamentarian Harin Fernando said the government has failed to implement a stringent programme to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.

He added the present administration is continuing to sell state assets.

MP Fernando noted that they will rally all anti-government factions under a banner and continue their struggle.

He said they will also work to educate the rural public in a bid to defeat the incumbent government and its programme.
