Public opinion gathering for state salaries ends

The time period granted for the public to provide recommendations regarding salary anomalies in the state sector has concluded.
Speaking to NewsRadio Chairman of the Presidential Commission appointed to investigate salary anomalies in the state sector, S Ranukge said over 70 persons including civil organizations had provided recommendations.
The Chairman noted a majority of the recommendations received by the Commission were regarding pensions.
He added it is not a relevant subject matter to the Commission adding the Commission will mention the matter regardless.
Ranukge noted the Commission will focus on deliberating the relevant subject matter, of the recommendations gathered.
He noted if further information is necessary relevant officials will take measures to gather necessary information.
The Chairman further stated the Commission will then deliberate the recommendations to be presented to the government in order to solve the relevant issues.
