Rajitha ashamed at state of health sector

Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Rajitha Senaratne says as a former Minister of Health he is ashamed of the depleted state of the country’s healthcare sector which was once world renowned.

Speaking at a media briefing, the MP accused the government of leading Sri Lanka to a level of begging from foreign nations for coronavirus vaccines, at a time that the rest of the world has begun inoculating citizens.

The Parliamentarian stated that the country had a low mortality rate of children and expectant women during his time as Minister, adding it was at standards of developed countries such as Kuwait and US.

He accused the government of destroying all the progress in the health sector.
