Recoveries rise to 3,385; five discharged today

Five individuals have been discharged after recovering from the coronavirus during the past 24-hours.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said recoveries accordingly increase to 3,385.
Two individuals were discharged from the Homagama Base Hospital and one each from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, the Welikanda Base Hospital and the Hambantota District General Hospital.
Accordingly, 1,846 individuals including 14 foreign nationals continue to receive medical treatment for the virus at 16 hospitals.
316 persons suspected to have contracted the virus are under observation. COVID-19 cases in the country currently stands at 5,244 with 74 patients identified yesterday.
Among the 74 cases were 46 associates of Minuwangoda apparel factory workers, 22 identified while at quarantine centres, and six arrivals from overseas.
The Minuwangoda COVID-19 cluster is at 1,789.
