Request made to treat COVID patients at private hospitals

A high-level delegation of medical experts, comprising consultants and medical specialists held cordial discussions with Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva and explored possibilities of accommodating COVID-19 patients for treatment at private sector hospitals.
The medical specialists maintained that such opportunities should remain open for virus-infected patients adding that this could also ease congestion at state sector hospitals and treatment centres.
Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva assured the matter will be taken up for review with relevant officials.
