The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna claims that the state mechanism has been crippled following last week’s mass resignation of Muslim Ministers.
Speaking during a media briefing in Colombo today, United People’s Freedom Alliance Parliamentarian Anura Priyadharshana Yapa said the present government is in turmoil following the Easter Sunday attacks.
MP Priyadharshana Yapa noted that the decision by the President to appoint respective State and Deputy Ministers to portfolios that fell vacant after the resignations will further escalate the crisis within the government.
MP Anura Priyadharshana Yapa said the state mechanism and the governance must be restored through appropriate appointments.
