Sapugaskanda Army camp Captain tested COVID19 positive

A Captain attached to the Batalanda, Sapugaskanda Army camp has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Sri Lanka Army stated the Captain was identified as a close contact of a COVID-19 positive case linked to the Peliyagoda fish market.
All personnel in the Captains unit have been directed to undergo PCR tests.
Meanwhile 17 Police personnel who had been in contact with confirmed coronavirus patients have also been quarantined.
Accordingly 11 officers attached to the Mulleriyawa Police, four attached to the Police Field Force Headquarters and two officers from the Pugoda Police have been directed to quarantine.
