Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 caseload at 20,966

Another 171 COVID-19 cases have been detected in the country a short while ago.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said the total number of coronavirus infections reported in Sri Lanka accordingly has increased to 20,966.

458 COVID-19 patients were identified thus far today and all cases are reportedly linked to the Minuwangoda-Peliyagoda cluster.

465 individuals who recovered from COVID-19 were earlier discharged raising coronavirus recoveries to 14,962.

5,910 individuals are currently being treated for COVID-19 at 56 hospitals and treatment centres.

601 persons suspected to have contracted the coronavirus are currently under observation.
