Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 recoveries rise to 3,440

37 coronavirus infected persons in the country have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals.
Accordingly, the number of recoveries in Sri Lanka has risen to 3,440.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of the Health said 17 COVID-19 patients were released from the Welikanda Base Hospital while 14 persons were discharged from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases during the past 24-hours.
Accordingly, 2,132 persons including 16 foreign nationals are currently receiving medical treatment for the coronavirus at 20 hospitals across the country.
297 suspected COVID-19 cases are also under medical observation.
Meanwhile, another 47 persons linked to the Minuwangoda apparel factory tested positive for COVID-19 earlier today, increasing the number of cases linked to the cluster to 2,122.
The number of coronavirus infections confirmed in Sri Lanka increased to 5,585 following the detection of today’s cases.
