Parliamentarian Rajitha Senaratne says although Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa had requested the employee of the Swiss embassy to provide a statement over the alleged abduction incident, she is not in a good mental state to provide a witness count.

Speaking during a media briefing at the UNP headquarters Sirikotha, MP Senaratne noted that the alleged victim is under severe mental stress following the incident.

He noted the alleged victim is depressed and is unable to communicate even with her family members.

The Parliamentarian also revealed that the family of the victim is preparing to leave the country owing to fears of a backlash.

MP Senaratne said the Switzerland Embassy has called for a comprehensive investigation adding that it is also taking measures to repatriate the family of the victim to Switzerland due to fears of a major backlash.

The Parliamentarian also questioned if any person attempted to leave the country during the tenure of the good governance government.
