The Pivithuru Hela Urumaya claims that the Tamil National Alliance should not be granted benefits of the Opposition if it functions as a government ally.
Speaking during a media briefing in Colombo Secretary of the Party Parliamentarian Udaya Gammanpila said the attention of Speaker of House Karu Jayasuriya will be directed to the two faced agendas of the TNA in Parliament.
MP Gammanpila noted no other political party has engaged in such two faced politics previously.
The Parliamentarian claimed therefore that the TNA should not be granted time that is allocated for the Opposition during debates while TNA members should not be appointed to committees as Opposition representatives.
He said following discussions with the Speaker the Opposition hopes to make the TNA take their respective seats in the side of the government prior to the commencement of the next Parliamentary session.
