The National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency says sonar inspections have revealed that the Colombo Port City project currently underway does not harm fisheries activities.

This was revealed during a discussion at the Ministry of Fisheries this morning.

Sea sand is obtained 10 kilometres away from land for the project adding marine resources are not harmed.

The inspections were carried out under the directives Minister of Fisheries Mahinda Amaraweera.
