SL team to leave for South Africa in December

The National cricket team is scheduled to leave for South Africa for a three-match test series on the 17th of December.

Sri Lanka Cricket in a statement said it will conduct a training camp at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium from the 13th of November, to prepare the players for the tour of South Africa.

A total of 22 players will take part in the 10-day training camp, which will be conducted under a ‘Bio-Secure Environment’.

SLC said once the training camp is over, the players participating in the Lanka Premier League will leave directly to Hambantota, whilst the rest will return to Colombo on the 22nd of November.

During the tour Sri Lanka will play a three-day practice match from the 20th of December while the first test will begin on the 26th of December in Centurion.
