Terrorism a grave concern in the world-PM

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa says terrorism has become a grave concern that the world is seeking a solution for.

The Prime Minister said the conflicts between nations are gradually decreasing.

Speaking at a function in Trincomalee today, Prime Minister Rajapaksa said Sri Lanka has experience in air operations against terrorism unlike any other country.

The Premier said of the world’s Air Forces, Sri Lanka is the most experienced in fighting against terrorism.

Prime Minister Rajapaksa added terrorism is a problem that countries world over are seeking a solution for.

He noted that the country’s Tri-Forces are well versed in this area, claiming that they are overall tasked with duties to ensure peace prevails.

The Prime Minister said the Tri-Forces also assist in disaster relief, humanitarian operations, surveillance of illegal migrants and coastal operations.
