The global death toll from the novel coronavirus has increased to 21,185.
468,577 confirmed cases have also been reported in at least 190 countries and territories.

Meanwhile, cases in Italy continue to rise as the European nation confirmed 683 new deaths yesterday.
A total of 7,503 persons have died in Italy.
A total of 74,386 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Italy, while 9,362 persons have also recovered after testing positive for the novel coronavirus.
China, where the novel coronavirus emerged in December 2019 has 81,218 cases and 3,281 deaths.
3,647 fatalities have been reported from Spain with 49,515 confirmed COVID-19 positive cases.
The United States has over 65,700 confirmed cases and 935 deaths.
The latest medical records suggest Germany has 37,000 cases including 206 deaths.
Iran has recorded 27,000 COVID-19 cases including 2,077 deaths.
A total of 25,233 cases have been reported from France while 1,331 have also died after contracting the virus.
In the United Kingdom where several new restrictions came into effect during the past few days, 9,529 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported.
465 deaths have also been linked to the novel coronavirus in the UK.
